Webmaster


We are looking for a qualified individual to step into the position of Webmaster. Please share this information with any AKCCOP members who may be interested. Thanks!

Duties: The AKCCOP Webmaster takes care of the AKCCOP website - making sure that all information is current and accurate, and that the links are working properly. The information and photos used on the website are generally provided by the Executive Board and Reporters of member chapters. The Webmaster contacts the chapter Reporters via e-mail twice a year (more frequently, if needed) to obtain updates for the Spring and Fall editions of our electronic Kansas Kollator.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements: This position requires only a basic understanding of HTML, access to and a working knowledge of the Dreamweaver program. Netfirms is our web hosting provider.

Working Conditions: The AKCCOP website information is stored on a flash drive. The Webmaster works on her own time and on her own computer. The Webmaster is appointment by the president and is an Ex Officio member of the AKCCOP Executive Board, working closely with President Sarah Smith (the contact person for our Netfirms business account, who also has login Username and Password).

Those interested in this position are asked to send the AKCCOP president a letter of support and reference from their college and the URL for any website they have created or currently maintain. The AKCCOP website has been made using the Dreamweaver program, but may be rebuilt by the new webmaster using a prefered program. Our current webmaster will be available as a support person during the transition period. Please feel free to contact our webmaster with any questions you may have about this position.
